Plant Doctor: Disease & Pests for iPhone and iPad
Photograph a sick plant and get an AI assessment of the likely problem, how serious it looks and what to do next. For iPhone and iPad, in 8 languages.
How does Plant Doctor work?
Plant Doctor assesses a plant problem from one photo in three steps, and answers in your device language.
- Take a photo of the leaves, stem or fruit that worry you, in good light.
- Read the assessment: the likely problem (a disease, pests or a care issue), how serious it looks, the visible symptoms and how confident the model is.
- Follow the care steps, tick them off, save the plant and set a check-in reminder to photograph it again and compare.
Questions
What is Plant Doctor?
Plant Doctor (Plant Doctor: Disease & Pests) is an iPhone and iPad app by Andria Labs that gives an AI assessment of a likely plant problem from one photo. Photograph spotted leaves, yellowing or pests, and Plant Doctor returns the likely problem (a disease, pests or a care issue), how serious it looks, the visible symptoms and practical care steps, in one of 8 languages. Free accounts get up to 5 assessments a day, and Plant Doctor Pro unlocks treatment and prevention steps for every result. You can save each plant with its own history and set check-in reminders. An assessment is an AI estimate from one photo, not a lab test.
Who makes Plant Doctor?
Plant Doctor: Disease & Pests is made by Andria Labs, an independent app developer in Sheridan, Wyoming, USA. It launched on the App Store on 30 September 2026 and is not connected to other apps or services named Plant Doctor.
How accurate is Plant Doctor?
Plant Doctor gives an AI estimate from one photo, not a lab test or an expert's opinion, and it can be wrong. Each assessment shows how confident the model is. Plant Doctor has not published an accuracy rate. For valuable plants, or anything you might eat, check with a qualified expert.
How does Plant Doctor make an assessment?
Plant Doctor sends your photo to a general-purpose AI vision model, which returns the likely problem, how serious it looks, the visible symptoms and how confident it is, following fixed rules for safe care advice. Plant Doctor's server checks the answer against safety rules before you see it. No person reviews it.
What plant problems can Plant Doctor look at?
Plant Doctor looks at anything visible in the photo, such as leaf spots, yellowing, wilting, powdery coatings, or pests like aphids, mealybugs and spider mites. It cannot see roots or soil unless they are in the photo.
Is Plant Doctor free?
Plant Doctor is free to download, and free accounts get up to 5 photo assessments a day with the likely problem and its visible symptoms. Your first scan that finds a problem also includes its full treatment steps. Plant Doctor Pro unlocks treatment and prevention steps for every scan, up to 100 scans a day: Weekly $5.99 with a 3-day free trial, Monthly $4.99, Yearly $29.99, or Lifetime $29.99 (US prices; the App Store shows your local price).
Which languages and devices does Plant Doctor support?
Plant Doctor runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 16.4 or later, in English, Spanish, German, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean. The app follows your device language.
Is there an Android version of Plant Doctor?
No. Plant Doctor: Disease & Pests by Andria Labs is available for iPhone and iPad only, on the App Store. Other apps with Plant Doctor in their name are not made by Andria Labs.
What happens to my photos in Plant Doctor?
From app version 1.0.12, Plant Doctor sends each scan photo to Anthropic for the assessment; earlier versions send it to OpenAI. The app names the provider before you confirm a scan. Photos are stored privately for your account, and you can download or delete your data in the app at any time. Analytics are off unless you allow them. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
