How reliable is a Plant Doctor assessment?
A Plant Doctor assessment is an AI estimate made from one photo, not a lab test or an expert inspection, and it can be wrong. From app version 1.0.12 the photo is assessed by Anthropic's Claude (earlier versions use OpenAI), and each result shows how confident the model is. Plant Doctor has not published an accuracy rate. For plants that matter commercially, or anything you might eat, check with a qualified expert. More on how assessments are made: About Plant Doctor.
